The 30-member family was rejected by the fundamentalist Mormon community also because their lifestyle does not prohibit alcohol consumption and allows them to express more open beliefs. According to the Williamses, their former kinsmen today treat them as “dissenters”. The family also does not fit into Catholic society, so they often feel like outsiders. – It’s not that complicated.
