Savoir-vivre is a set of good manners. It may be political, business or church. Good manners are demonstrated not only by what we say, but also by our clothes, facial expressions and the way we behave in certain situations. When you visit a holy place, there are a few things you need to remember. This way you will show respect for both the place and other people.
Church savoir-vivre. How should you behave in church?
Being late for church is considered impolite. Just as we always try to get to or school on time, the same should be true for Holy Mass. This rule applies to every church ceremony, e.g. baptism, confirmation and first holy communion. Entering the temple after some time will distract the other people.
If you are late, try to enter the church quietly so as not to make unnecessary noise. Do not try to take a seat on the bench or stand at the altar at all costs. Take a seat at the back, do not greet others loudly and do not engage in conversations. If you notice someone you know, a simple nod of the head is enough. You can always talk after mass.

What is not allowed to do in church? Mistakes during mass
You should not chew gum or eat in church. Do not use your phone during Holy Mass. It’s best to turn it off completely so that incoming calls and text messages do not interrupt the clergyman during his sermon. The outfit is also important. It should be elegant and subdued, matching the occasion and place. Short skirts, shorts, blouses with a deep neckline or exposed shoulders are not welcome. You should also not expose your legs and belly, or wear transparent underwear or underwear that shows through. Remember that inappropriate behavior may even result in being asked to leave the church.
