What is the best age difference between partners? You may be shocked. Here is the pattern

What is the ideal age difference between partners in a relationship? This issue often sparks heated discussions and arouses considerable emotions. Although it is a very individual matter and each story is different, according to relationship expert Susan Winter, a certain love mathematical formula from over a hundred years ago is still valid. Thanks to it, men can determine the ideal age of their other half.

An older man and a younger woman is a common pattern of male-female relationships. However, despite this, it still arouses great emotions. Recently, Patrycja Sołtysik spoke about this topic in our program “We have time” in an interview with Agnieszka Matracka. Importantly, her husband is 24 years older than her. She said this about the age difference between them: “Of course it is big, I won’t say it’s imperceptible, I’m not saying it doesn’t have any impact on our lives, because it does, it really does.” You can watch the interview with Andrzej So³tysik’s wife here:

What is the ideal age difference between partners?

Does the age difference have a significant impact on the relationship? Numerous examples of famous couples confirm that this is not an obstacle to creating a successful relationship. Despite this, the issue arouses considerable emotions and often sparks heated discussions. So what should be the ideal age between partners? According to the writer, this is always a very individual matter. In 1901, Max O’Rell calculated in his book “Her Royal Highness, Woman: And His Majesty Cupid” a formula based on which we can calculate the ideal age difference between partners. According to it, men should choose women whose age is half their age plus seven years. “A man should marry a woman half his age plus seven,” Max O’Rell said in his book.

Relationship expert: Age is just a number

It is known that such calculations should be treated with a pinch of salt. Every story is different. But according to relationship expert Susan Winter, the love math formula, calculated over 100 years ago, may still hold true today. – It’s quite funny that there is an equation for the optimal age difference in love. But the formula does seem to have some scientific credibility. The truth is, however, that two matching souls will find each other regardless of their age […] Age is just a number, above all, relationships based on mutual understanding have a chance of success – she said in an interview with Independent.co.uk.
