Rafał Patyra is a sports journalist and TV presenter. Although he started his career in TV Puls, most people associate him with Telewizja Polska, where he most often covered football. However, when TVP received the so-called good change, Patyra also found his place as the host of “Teleexpress”. He ran the afternoon TV news program TVP1 from 2016 to 2023.

A few months ago, when the process of depoliticization of public media began, Patyr’s contract was not extended and after 20 years of work he said goodbye to Telewizja Polska. But he quickly returned to TV screens because he joined TV Republika, where since December other stars of the past “good change” have also been appearing in the public media, e.g. Danuta Holecka.
Sakiewicz’s station runs “Express Republika”, which is the right-wing station’s answer to “Teleexpress”. The journalist does not hide that he is proud of such a change and often does not refrain from being malice towards the current ruling team. In the last edition of the program, the host referred to the words of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Paweł Wroński, who could not believe that no one from TV Republika was at the press conference.
TV Republika is a relatively young player on the media market. All the more pleasant are any signs of sympathy or longing. It turns out that our reporters, even if they sometimes ask uncomfortable questions, are welcome guests at press conferences, for example at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
– We promise to improve as soon as possible. Our only excuse is that we prefer to be in the center of events, e.g. in the USA, rather than rely on second-hand reports, even if they are longing ones. He also shared the recording of this fragment on his Instagram, with the caption: “They miss us already.”
The first issue of “Express Republika” was broadcast on February 1, 2024. Some time ago, in an interview with “Press”, Patyra said that he was very satisfied with his new job: “Today I enter the newsroom with a smile on my face, thanking God for where I ended up.” The afternoon daily TV Republika is broadcast every day at 4:55 p.m. The presented materials glorify Law and Justice.
