is one of the most popular Polish actors. His artistic achievements include many excellent titles on the small and big screen, to which he owes not only the sympathy of viewers, but also the recognition of critics. Cezary Pazura reflects on the popularity of celebrities. He referred to the stars buried at Powązki Cemetery

Some time ago, Pazura gave an extremely honest interview for Kanał Zero, in which he reflected on the fate of himself and his colleagues. He said bitterly that nowadays artistic professions are trivialized and this is largely due to those who perform them. He noted that in the past, stars enjoyed recognition because they could boast of various achievements. In turn, currently they are closer to being considered celebrities, because they do not act in ambitious projects and focus mainly on visiting walls or publishing posts on social media.

In his reflections, he referred to the Powązki Cemetery in Warsaw, saying that while walking along the alleys, at every step you can come across the grave of a person particularly distinguished for Polish theater, cinema or art. This made him reflect. – What will happen to people known from those times? What will, for example, be the gravestone of some Instagramers? –. – When you go to Powązki now, you read that here lies the director, here lies the actor, here the opera singer, here the inventor, here the philosopher. And what will they have written? She had the most likes in February 2025? – he said, not hiding his disappointment. – Perhaps it will be so! Our grandchildren will go to the cemetery and say, “That one had ranges,” he ironized.

He revealed that he even had a vision of how he would like to be and what his tombstone should look like. It turns out that he would like it to have a small screen on which the best fragments from cult productions with his participation would appear in a loop. – I figured out what would be on my tombstone. My daughter is already collecting material. (…) There are such photos on tombstones now and they are behind thick glass. I’m like, damn, why can’t these pictures move? And there should be a tiny screen on my tombstone. And so, once every two weeks, the best parts of my films are looped – he said. Finally, he added that he did not entrust this task to his wife Edyta, but to his eldest daughter Anastazja.
