The MP has been married to Małgorzata Skarbek, who was his first teenage love, for over 30 years. They met in 1982 at a disco, and although he had been courting her from the beginning, she was not particularly interested in him. Everything changed when, a week after the first meeting, he unexpectedly confessed his love to her, then handed her a few inconspicuous cards and left. – They were poems. After reading them, I knew that they had been written within the last week and that each word was addressed specifically to me. This touched my heart – a woman in an interview for “Gala”.
Before they became a couple, they were friends. They spent time together, read books and watched films together, and then discussed them, sharing their observations. This made the feeling between them grow stronger and stronger. – He became my whole world – said Małgorzata. A few weeks after the wedding, she defended her diploma thesis at the Pedagogical University of Warsaw, and in the summer their first-born daughter, Julia, was born. – She turned our house upside down – confessed the politician’s wife. 3 years later, the family expanded by another child, Pola, and after another 6 years the couple had a third daughter, Hanna.
Kukiz never hid the fact that he was not his father’s example. Although he had a great relationship with the children, he was not at home very often due to his numerous professional commitments. This bothered his wife and often led to arguments, but in the end they always reached an agreement. – We often argue and argue, even though we know it makes no sense. Neither he nor I want to give in. However, this does not threaten the durability of our family, because in the end we always reach an agreement – explained Małgorzata in “Pani”.
There were also many other difficult moments in their lives that put them to the test. First, their daughter became ill and required a kidney transplant, and later she rejected two transplants. At that time, Kukiz became addicted to alcohol, in which he drowned his sorrows. Thanks to his wife, he went to therapy and got straight. Today, he does not hide the fact that she is his greatest support and he is grateful that she did not abandon him in the worst moments. – She’s just there for me.
