A person who has a ZUS ID card, i.e. a retiree’s ID card, and people with a pension or teacher’s compensation benefit are entitled to a number of reliefs. These include:
- 37% discount on two 2nd class flights per year and the carrier’s internal discount on standard fares depending on the carrier’s offer,
- discounts and discounts on medicines,
- discounts on cultural events or sightseeing facilities upon presentation of a pensioner’s ID card, but in this case the amount of the discount is determined by the owner of a given facility;
- cheaper public transport journeys, among others, in Warsaw, Łódź and Kraków;
- 50% less for a passport, and after turning 70, obtaining the document for free.

The list of medicines includes as many as 3,800 items. Pensioners can also apply for the National Senior Card. To do this, simply visit the website and fill out the form. The card entitles you to many amenities, such as discounts on sanatoriums, health resorts and rehabilitation clinics.
