published a new list of the most watched productions between March 4 and 10. As it turns out, the website has a new series leader. We’re talking about “Gentlemen”, who dominate the global ranking. Guy Ritchie’s crime comedy is inspired by the 2019 feature film of the same title.
“The Gentlemen” is a hit on Netflix in 90 countries
“In the series ‘The Gentlemen,’ Eddie Horniman (Theo James) unexpectedly inherits a large country estate from his father – which turns out to be a marijuana empire. In addition, quite a large team of nice guys from the British underworld want to have a share in this business. Eddie decides to free the family from their claws and defeat the gangsters with their own weapons. However, the more he is drawn into the criminal universe, the more he begins to like it,” we read in the production description.
Ritchie’s latest picture was among the TOP10 most watched series in 90 countries around the world. Viewers spent over 81 million hours watching the show. In second place on the list was “Avatar: The Last Airbringer”, which has been on the list for three weeks, and the podium is closed by the documentary series “Dark Sides of American Youth Educational Camps”.
Poles still choose the series “Rojst”
In Poland, however, “Gentlemen” failed to take first place in the national ranking of the most watched series. Viewers in our country are still most eager to watch “Rojst. Millenium”, the third season of Jan Holoubek’s crime series. Ritchie’s production took second place, and the podium was closed by the science fiction comedy “Resident Alien”.
Thanks to the popularity of the third season of “Rojst”, the previous two series also returned to the viewers’ favor. The first season of the series took fourth place in the Netflix domestic rankings, and the second season appeared in seventh place.
