Worst customer behavior. “They are disgusted, they try, they make strange things. They walk around the store as if it were a museum”

Every day, millions of Poles do shopping. For some, going to the store is a necessity, for others – entertainment. They walk slowly, carefully analyze each product and in the meantime think about what they need. Not everyone likes it. – People who buy meat are the most annoying. Because of these queues and their hassle, I limited my meat consumption. Because many people behave as if they were preparing for war – complains Martyna.

Regardless of whether we enter the store to buy one product or shop for the entire week, we should remember the rules of social coexistence. Unfortunately, some customers forget that they are not alone in the supermarket. Both sellers and consumers complain about a number of behaviors that should not take place while shopping.

What are annoying customer behaviors? “They feel the rolls and don’t wear gloves”

Most of us live in a hurry and treat shopping as a necessity. Unfortunately, sometimes even a quick trip to the store turns into an hour-long trip when we encounter people who take the saying “the customer is our master” too literally. They walk chaotically between the aisles, leave their carts in the middle, thus preventing others from using the same space, argue with sellers and touch everything they encounter on their way. According to the principles of savoir-vivre, such behavior should not occur while shopping. What bothers others the most?

– People who don’t know the basics of movement drive me crazy. They don’t look where they are, they get out of the “secondary” alley and cross the main alley, or they walk and stop right in front of them. Strollers in the store are a disaster – says Iza. – They block the aisles, even though there is enough space for two people to pass each other. They put the cart in the middle, stand next to it and you have to stand and wait for someone to choose a given product from the shelf. And they’re not even in a hurry. I also don’t like it when people take bread and don’t wear gloves (and, horror of all, they touch the rolls!) – adds Marta. Worse still, they sometimes put their hands without gloves into a bucket of cabbage and try it before they decide to buy it.

“They are picky, they try, they are weird”

According to our readers, shopping in the meat department is a separate category when it comes to annoying behavior. – Due to these queues and slackness, I limited my meat consumption. Many people behave as if they were preparing for war. They are picky, they try, they make strange things. And the number of meats… Now the sight of such a queue for meat makes me feel sick – comments Marta. He says it would be much easier if people thought about what they wanted to buy in advance. – Only when the cashier comes up, they ask what it is, why, how, and how much… – he sighs.

Ola, on the other hand, hates it when she stands in line at the checkout and feels another person’s breath on her neck. – Sometimes someone sighs impatiently, other times they nudge me with their basket, or they put their purchases on the conveyor belt when half of mine are still in the basket, so I have to stuff them, he says. It also happens that someone “takes a place in the queue”, but then sees that his turn may come sooner at the cash register next to him and migrates from one place to another.

Due to disruptive customer behavior, some people started shopping online or avoiding stores during peak hours. Everyone has one appeal: “Let’s always remember about others in the store.”
