Krzysztof Ziemiec left TVP. He still has a job at RMF FM

The portal’s editorial staff contacted the TVP press office, which confirmed the latest reports. – Telewizja Polska ended cooperation with Mr. Krzysztof Ziemiec by agreement of the parties – we read. In turn, the journalist has not yet commented on the entire situation.

He last commented on this issue in January in an interview with “Fakt”, in which he admitted that he was not employed at TVP as a full-time employee, but on the basis of a civil law contract. According to the daily, the contract was terminated at the end of February, Ziemiec will not receive remuneration for the non-competition clause.

He worked at TVP for almost twenty years. Now he has been officially thanked

Krzysztof Ziemiec stopped appearing on TVP after December 20, 2023, when the process of depoliticization of public media began. After that day, none of the leading faces of the previous information and journalism department of Telewizja Polska returned.

Let us recall that the journalist started working at TVP in 2004, with a break from autumn 2007 to mid-2008, when he worked at TV Puls. Previously, he worked at Radio Trójka and TVN24. For almost 20 years of work at Telewizja Polska, he hosted “Panorama”, the main edition of “Wiadomości”, as well as journalistic programs such as: “Gość Wiadomości”, “Kwadrans Polity” and “Woronicza 17”.

Ziemiec was one of the few people who survived the purges in the TVP1 television news team at the beginning of 2016, when former politician Jacek Kurski became the president of TVP. However, in recent years he has been the face of “Teleexpress”, which he joined in 2019. It was then that he said goodbye to the “Wiadomości” team, which was then headed by Danuta Holecka.

This does not mean, however, that the journalist suddenly wanted to stop being associated with the then ruling camp. In September 2022, he led the presentation of a report on the losses suffered by Poland from Germany during World War II. Law and Justice politicians were responsible for preparing the report. In April 2023, he led the opening of the airport in Radom.

The journalist still works at RMF FM, where he hosts the Saturday program “Gość Krzysztof Ziemiec”. He has been associated with the Krakow radio station since 2013. In recent years, the head of the information department at the station was Marek Balawajder, who in February this year. he said goodbye to his job. This is the result of an internal investigation into allegations regarding one of the heads of departments at RMF FM radio and media reports about Balawajder’s frequent visits to the former president of Orlen, Daniel Obajtek.
