The journalist’s report was quite chaotic – Drzyzga stuttered a bit, made short pauses and mixed up words, although she tried to correct her mistakes each time.
However, a blunder could not be avoided when the presenter mentioned the winner of the award for best actress. It was awarded to Emma Stone for her performance in “Poor Things”. However, Ewa Drzyzga got the actress’s name wrong: “Emma Thompson, who is actually called Emily here, was crying and thanking all those who voted for her in the Academy…. She symbolically shared the award with Lily Gladstone, because if she won, the first Native American could win an Oscar. She asked no one to look at the back of her dress because there was something wrong with it, so that’s a tidbit from the event,” she reported live on “Dzień Dobry TVN”.
