The editorial staff of Republika TV always find a topic that they delve into much more deeply than the competition. Last weekend, it was a vulgar statement made by Left MP Anna Maria Żukowska towards the Speaker of the Sejm, Szymon Hołownia.
This is an escalation of the conflict within the coalition regarding the liberalization of abortion law. A few days ago, Włodzimierz Czarzasty pointed out that in women’s matters “there is no third way”, and Żukowska from the parliamentary podium admonished him for suspending work on draft laws liberalizing the right to abortion.
The response from the leader of Poland 2050 came unexpectedly. “Szymon Hołownia on abortion: we need peace and patience so as not to introduce more evil while fighting for good,” said the PAP dispatch. MP Żukowska’s rude entry was a response to these words of the Speaker of the Sejm.
According to Sakiewicz, Czarzasty’s words about compulsory vaccination during the pandemic are hypocrisy compared to his views on the “right to one’s body”
TV Republika uses the whole situation to thunder about the “beginning of the end of the coalition”. In the Sunday edition of the “Polityczna kawa” program, hosted by the station’s head, Tomasz Sakiewicz, the host of the show decided to address the issue of “the right to one’s body”. Therefore, he compared Włodzimierz Czarzasty’s statements on abortion and vaccines against COVID-19.
– The first lady of the left…, I’m sorry, Mr. Czarzasty made a demand to defend his body – said Sakowicz in the introduction to the material “My body, my business” – A person has the right to make decisions about his own body – we hear the deputy speaker of the Sejm, co-chairman of the New Left, Włodzimierz Czarzasty in an interview on Radio ZET.
Then, on Republika TV, this sentence was compared with the politician’s words from several dozen months ago: – Adults are obliged to be vaccinated. If someone avoids vaccinations, we believe that they should be subject to a fine. (…) We believe that workplaces and employers should have the right to control who is vaccinated. (…) Obligatory, obligatory for all Poles. “Hit of the week,” Sakiewicz commented without enthusiasm after the material was broadcast.
