The kidnappers took the bound Thapar to their hideout and then contacted her parents, demanding a ransom of PLN 1.5 million. They threatened that if their demand was not met, they would force her to appear in an adult film. They were convinced that such an amount would not be a problem for wealthy people, but they were very wrong.

When the actress’ mother tried to get money, the kidnappers emptied the 26-year-old’s account. Ultimately, they received an additional PLN 60,000. rupees, but it was not enough for them. For fear that Thapar would turn them in to the police, they decided not to release her. They brutally took her life and then threw her quartered body into a nearby water reservoir. In turn, they placed her head in a bag and threw her from a moving bus on the road to Bombay.

During this time, they constantly blackmailed the family, demanding more money to save their lives. Perhaps they wouldn’t have faced any consequences if they hadn’t forgotten to throw away the SIM card. Ultimately, Amita Jaiswala and Preeti Surin were caught by the police and sentenced to life imprisonment.
