It’s obvious that you shouldn’t use your phone while driving, but what about when you’re stuck in a traffic jam or stopped at a red light? It might seem that then there is no problem. However, in reality, such behavior may result in a fine. Just like we can also get a ticket for driving too slowly or having dirty license plates. What amounts are we talking about? Watch the new episode of “Myk”.
Are you using your phone in a traffic jam or at a red light? Get ready for a fine
Many drivers believe that when they are stuck in a traffic jam or at a red light, they can use their phone (only hands-free use is allowed). Nothing could be further from the truth. Just because we’re standing still doesn’t suddenly mean we’re not in traffic. And what kind of fine can we face for this? It’s not cheap, because for such an offense we can get a fine of up to PLN 500 and as many as 12 penalty points.
Can you get a ticket for a dirty car in Poland?
A dirty car can mean big problems in several situations. Driving with dirty windows may be interpreted by a policeman as a violation of Art. 97 of the Petty Offenses Code. This means a fine ranging from PLN 20 to PLN 3,000. In turn, driving with dirty lights may be classified as covering the lights. This may cost us a PLN 300 fine and as many as 8 penalty points. What if we have dirty license plates? Here the situation is as follows and may mean two qualifications of the act. Either the policeman will consider it as failure to keep the markings in proper condition (which is punishable by a PLN 100 fine), or covering the license plates, which is punishable by a PLN 500 fine and 8 penalty points.
Can you get a ticket for driving too slowly?
Everyone knows that driving too fast will result in a ticket. However, it turns out that the stick has two ends and driving too slowly may result in a fine. According to the regulations, the driver should drive at a speed that does not impede the driving of others. If driving slowly is not justified, e.g. due to bad conditions, the policeman has the right to punish us. Obstructing or obstructing road traffic may result in a fine of not less than PLN 500.
