Last Wednesday, another farmers’ protest took place in Warsaw. This time the atmosphere was much thicker than last time, and there were even clashes between the demonstration participants and the police in front of the Sejm building on Wiejska Street. TV Republika presents it in a slightly different way. The “real Polish news” broadcast material by Adrian Borecki, who insinuates that the events were a provocation.
“Real Polish news” stands behind farmers. Extensive coverage of the protest in front of the Sejm
– A peaceful protest of farmers in Warsaw unexpectedly ended in riots. The police used rubber bullets, batons and tear gas against the farmers. Several dozen people were detained. And all because of a group of provocateurs. The accounts of people taking part in the demonstration, as well as the recordings, show that the riots could have been provoked by the police themselves – these were the words of Danuta Holecka. But that’s not all she had to say.
And here I ask a very important question: On whose orders could this have happened?
A moment later, viewers were shown material titled: “Provocations at the farmers’ protest”, in which its author wanted to answer this “rhetorical” question for the station’s fans. However, at one point the channel’s viewers may have been a bit confused because for a moment a fragment of the statement of the Minister of Internal Affairs and Administration, Marcin Kierwiński, was broadcast.
TV Republika quotes the minister. However, later she accuses him of lies and insinuates a provocation of the coalition
– A gang of provocateurs, a gang of provocateurs, throws paving stones at Polish policemen! (…) Unfortunately, there were also bandits, said the government representative. However, his words were quickly countered by an employee of TV Republika. According to the material, the minister is not telling the whole truth. The station directly says that “it is not known who” were the people who threw paving stones at the policewoman.
Later, Borecki came up with the idea that it was a provocation of the ruling coalition. – There are suspicions that these are the actions of the services. This is indicated by Law and Justice MPs who conducted parliamentary inspections at the headquarters of the Ministry of Interior and Administration and the capital police.
– It was a provocation. And it was a provocation directed by the government. We have no doubt about this – says Przemysław Czarnek on the station, who is said to be the greatest authority on this matter.
At the very end there is a mysterious photograph of several men. “According to the farmers, they were first supposed to provoke police aggression and then drive away in a car that could have been an unmarked police car,” we hear in the material.
