The creator of the cartoon series “Dragoi Bola” (Dragon Ball), Akira Toriyama, has died at the age of 68, from an acute subdural hematoma, which involves a buildup of blood in the brain, as reported this Friday the company Capsule Corporation Tokyo, formed in order to manage the production of the artist’s works.
“Manga artist Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1, 2024 due to an acute subdural hematoma. He was 68 years old. It’s a shame because he had a lot of work to do and there were still things he wanted to achieve. However, the deceased left behind many jobs as an artist “says the statement.

Born on April 5, 1955 in the city of Nagoya, in central Japan, Toriyama was known worldwide for works such as “Dragoi Bola” and “Dr. Slump”, and was also responsible for the character designs of important titles of the history of video games such as “Dragon Quest”, “Chrono Trigger” or “Blue Dragon”.
“Dragoi Bola” premiered on ETB in February 1990, and the adventures of Son Goku and his companions were a social phenomenon for the Basque youth of the time.
