Chef Wolfgang Puck oversees the menu of the most important Oscar afterparty for the 30th time in a row. Dishes prepared by his team will be eaten by 150 guests of the Governor’s Ball. What will they find on the tables?

It will include, among others: risotto with wild mushrooms and black truffle, beef ragu and vegan and vegetarian minilasagna. We also prepare grilled lamb cutlets with Peking duck, honey and ginger marinated with coriander and soy sauce. Puck told “Good Morning America” that there will also be snacks, such as toast with honey butter, fennel marmalade and crème fraîche whipped cream. Favorite dishes from previous years that will return in 2024 include pasta with truffles and cheese, fish cones and chips and wood-fired pizza.

There will be dozens of dishes – including as many as 37 desserts to choose from. Guests will be able to try, for example, exclusive Oreo cookies (the filling is dulce de leche and hazelnut). Fans of sweets will also be able to find chocolate ravioli on the tables (pictured above), an Oscar-shaped lollipop and the traditional Oscars made of chocolate sprinkled with 24-carat gold. The confectioners are preparing as many as five thousand pieces of the latter for the event.
A chocolate cigar that smokes
It will be exclusive and eccentric. The quintessence of the latter are chocolate cigars with Grand Marnier ash. Those who want to “light” them will be able to immerse the end in liquid nitrogen. You can find more photos of dishes in the gallery.

The Oscars ceremony celebrates its 96th anniversary this year, and for the last 65 of those years, the largest after party after an event known for its great after parties has been the Governor’s Ball. Wolfgang Puck has become an inseparable “element” of the Oscars over the last 30 years. He became a star of the California culinary scene – and one of the first celebrity chefs – after opening his still-respected Italian restaurant Spago in West Hollywood in 1982. He gained fame as a culinary pioneer thanks to, among others, pizza with smoked salmon. During the Oscar afterparty, he will serve a variation on this dish, shaped like an Oscar.
Where to watch Oscars 2024?
The 96th Academy Awards will be broadcast on the night of March 10-11 at 23:30 on CANAL+ online and on CANAL+ PREMIUM. The ceremony will once again take place at the Dolby Theater at Ovation Hollywood. For the fourth time, it will be hosted by the popular comedian Jimmy Kimmel.
