“How I Became a Gangster. A True Story” is a story from 2019 about the most dangerous gangster in Poland (played by Marcin Kowalczyk), who at all costs strives to gain power and obtain an impressive financial status. On the one hand, his world revolves around interests and violence, and on the other hand, what matters to him is a friend and a beloved woman. In this film, Tomaszłosok played the role of the aforementioned friend of the main character – now it’s time for a separate production with a new story, in which all the lights will fall on him (and for love, of course).
“How I fell in love with a gangster”. From a petty trickster to the godfather of the Tricity mafia
The latest proposal by Maciej Kawulski is based on the biography of Nikodem Skotarczak “Nikos”. It is a story about the male world as seen through the eyes of women. Nikoś is a boy with an unbridled appetite for success, who specializes in the illegal import of cars to Poland. Gigantic money, building a car empire, a spectacular escape from prison … His life is a constant drive without a handlebars, and his story shows how to fight for yourself and how much you have to sacrifice to be able to remain yourself.
The cast included: Antoni Królikowski, Agnieszka Grochowska, Krystyna Janda, Sebastian Fabijański, Magdalena Lamparska, Julia Wieniawa, Eryk Lubos, Dawid Ogrodnik, Janusz Chabior and Edyta Herbuś. Maciej Kawulski is not only responsible for directing – together with Krzysztof Gureczny he is also a co-author of the script. In Poland, Netflix will release the movie on January 5, while in the world “How to love a gangster” will appear a week later.
