FOX and production company Fremantle are working on the reboot. Lara Olsen, whose credits include “Spinning Out” and “Jumanji”, is responsible for the script of the new production.
Although it is not yet known who will be in the cast of the series, its producers announce that we will see not only a new generation of rescuers on the screen, but also veterans known from the previous production. The cult production had a spin-off titled “Night Patrol”, which was broadcast in 1995-1997. In 2017, the feature film “Baywatch” with Zack Efron in the main role was also released. However, both productions failed to beat the success of the original. The premiere date of the new series is not known yet.
