According to media reports, on Tuesday, Doda and her ex-husband Emil S. and other men were sentenced in the case brought against them by the singer’s former partner, Emil Haidar, in 2017. The verdict is not final and the artist announces an appeal.

On Tuesday, the Warsaw-Mokotów District Court held another hearing in the case against Dorota “Doda” Rabczewska, her ex-husband Emil S. and a group of men who, at their request, allegedly threatened the artist’s former partner, Emil Haidar. The plaintiff testified that the hooligans sent to him visited him in the office and tried to persuade him to withdraw all accusations against Doda, who was his partner in 2015.

Doda was convicted illegally. But Haidar’s lawyer is considering an appeal anyway

According to reports, “” the first verdict in this case was passed at 2:30 p.m. The daily received confirmation of the information from Emil Haidar’s lawyer, Jerzy Jurek. In a conversation with tabloid journalists, he said that Doda was sentenced to one year of imprisonment, suspended for two years. In addition, she was sentenced to a fine of PLN 100,000.

In turn, the singer’s ex-husband, Emil S., was sentenced to nine months of rigorous imprisonment, one and a half years of community service and must pay a fine of PLN 100,000 to the state treasury. Interestingly, the verdict is not final.

– The case concerned my client, Emil Haidar, ordering extortion and intimidation to change his testimony. The verdict was handed down today and we accept it with satisfaction. In our opinion, the punishment is a bit mild for the principals, so we are considering an appeal, said Haidar’s lawyer Jerzy Jurek in an interview with “Fakt”.

The artist will continue to fight. He announces an appeal in the case

Doda did not appear at the hearing. Similarly, Emil S., who is currently in custody on charges in another case. These are allegations of misappropriation of property for a total amount of approximately PLN 5 million. However, the artist’s management confirmed in an interview with “” that Doda will appeal against the judgment of the Warsaw-Mokotów District Court:

The judgment is invalid. The court’s oral reasoning did not explain anything. To quote them: “There is no evidence that Mrs. Dorota is guilty, but there are circumstantial evidence based on media reports that the high court read on an ongoing basis.” So the comment is unnecessary. Of course we will appeal, especially since the behind-the-scenes of this whole story were described by an investigative journalist, based mainly on undeniable evidence.
