The former TVP star appeared during the retreat. He talked about an affair and an illegitimate child

Rafał Patyra has been associated with TVP for years. He was known for such programs as “Teleexpress”, “Dzień Dobry Polsko!” or “Family Express”. He also cooperated with Radio Maryja and Telewizja TRWAM. Recently he joined the Republika TV team, where he hosts the news program “Express Republika”.

– It was here that I was shown hospitality, here I was even given my own room, i.e. “Express Republika”. Furnishing gives me a lot of fun, especially since I have a trusted group of people helping me. And you know how it is – the program is important, but people are always the most important […] Today I enter the newsroom with a smile on my face, thanking God for where I ended up – he enthused about his new workplace in an interview with “Press”.

Rafał Patyra admitted to having an affair

Patyra, on his social media profiles, the journalist does not hide the fact that he is a practicing Catholic, and faith in God plays a very important role in his life. That’s why many people were surprised by his confession, which he made some time ago in an interview with “Dobry Tygodnik”. The former TVP star revealed that he had cheated on his wife years ago, and his affair resulted in the birth of a daughter. As he said:

There’s a lot going on in my job, big money comes quickly, I meet beautiful women. They were my weakness…

However, in the end, Patyra remained by his wife’s side. He was convinced, among other things, by the fact that after a divorce he would not be able to receive the sacraments. – When I thought that I would go to that woman and be cut off from the sacraments, it hurt me a lot. I was at rock bottom mentally and emotionally. Until finally I called out to God: “Take care of this, because I can’t handle it on my own. Do with me what you want!” And God took matters into his own hands, he confessed.

Recently, Rafał Patyra and his wife performed during a retreat at the Sanctuary of the Blood of Christ in Częstochowa. They told, among other things, about the crisis in their marriage, which was caused by the man’s affair. Patyra’s wife confessed that when she learned about her husband’s lover’s pregnancy, she called him and announced: “If you want, you can come back.” From his current perspective, he thinks it was God’s grace. – And today I realized that it was a grace, because I should have been so angry and hurt – she confessed during the retreat.
