The first error is leaving water in it and it will stay like that untilin which the plant will absorb it. The expert points out that such action causes the soil to absorb too much liquid, which may even result in root rot. If water appears in the saucer after watering, leave it for a maximum of 30-45 minutes and then pour it out. This is enough for the plant to “drink” a sufficient amount.

It happens that some people, instead of watering directly into the ground in a pot, they only pour water into the stand and leave it until they “drink” from it. This is another mistake, not only for the reason given above, but also because such stands are usually relatively small and low, and practically all filled with pot. So even if you fill them to the brim with water, most often there will still be too little to feed the entire plant. So if you want to do this, get a large, decent saucer, but still don’t forget to pour out excess water regularly.
