The fate of the suspended TVP journalist hangs in the balance. Will there be a reactivation of Siezieniewski?

S³awomir Siezieniewski, a long-time TVP presenter, was suspended at the end of last year. The journalist has not yet returned to work on air and there is no indication that this will change in the near future.

According to unofficial reports from Wirtualne Media, Sławomir Siezieniewski, who was suspended by the then TVP authorities in October last year, will not return to work on the air. However, the interested party claims that he is waiting for the station’s decision. “This is a question for the management. Since Mr. Pereira suspended me in mid-September, I have been at TVP’s disposal,” Sławomir Siezieniewski told Wirtualne Media.

Will Sławomir Siezieniewski return to work at TVP?

Sławomir Siezieniewski disappeared from Telewizja Polska at the end of last year. Wirtualne Media stated at the time that the reason for this decision was, among other things, to change the content of the so-called “white” content, i.e. announcements of materials and live entries. These practices were allegedly opposed by the authorities of the Television Information Agency, which decided to suspend the journalist. Despite the changes that have taken place in the public media at the turn of recent months, Siezieniewski has not returned to the air.

Siezieniewski has been associated with Telewizja Polska since the 1990s. He started working in the Gdańsk branch of TVP as a reporter and host of “Panorama”. Later he moved to TVP1, where he also hosted the evening editions of “Wiadomości” and the journalistic programs “In the center of attention” and “Monitor News”. On April 10, 2010, he reported on the crash of the presidential plane in Smolensk. Recently, the journalist appeared on TVP3 Gdańsk, where he led the unveiling of the bench of the late mayor of the city, Paweł Adamowicz.
