Civil partnerships were on the list of pre-election promises of the Civic Coalition. Donald Tusk announced that the resolution would be adopted within the first 100 days of the formation of the new government. The time to fulfill this promise has not yet passed, but it is inevitably coming to an end. The bill has already been prepared by Lewica and Nowoczesna in cooperation with LGBTQ+ organizations.
Netflix stars support the campaign for civil partnerships
The “100dninazwiazki.pl” campaign is intended to mobilize the government to adopt a resolution on civil partnerships within the announced 100 days. The campaign was supported by the participants of the Netflix love show “Love Never Lies”: Anna and Paulina (winners of the 2nd edition of the program) and Bruno and Jędrzej (participants of the 1st season).
“We are in favor of introducing civil partnerships in Poland because Netflix Stars appeal to Donald Tusk: “Every person should have the same rights.” We are people and, just like everyone else, we care about access to medical information, handling official matters together or the possibility of taking joint loan. We want everyone to be treated equally. We want to feel security and tolerance in our own country. – wrote Paulina and Anna.
“These are basic human rights that should not be a topic of public debate, but something that is due to every citizen of our beautiful country,” added Bruno and Jędjj.
