TVP wants to open an investigative editorial office and is planning a new program. “It’s our point of honor”

In recent weeks, Telewizja Polska has been gradually restoring new formats and offering new programs from its journalistic and information offer. This weekend, after a break of several years, the program “Bez retuszu” will return, in which the host Marek Czyż will talk to politicians or experts about current events. The formula also allows for discussions with the studio audience and viewers via social media.

The portal’s editorial staff received information that Telewizja Polska is already planning new programs for the fall. One of them is to be an investigative program, which is to appear on the station’s schedule in September. – Such a program must be prepared very well. We have made it a point of honor to launch an investigative editorial office from September, said a person from TVP management anonymously.

The industry title also reports, citing another source, that talks were held with WP journalist Bianka Mikołajewska, who was offered the position of head of the investigative editorial office. However, no agreement was reached. – We do not rule out that we will return to these talks, but at the moment they are not continued – said another person from TVP management.

In recent years, the only investigative TV program is “Black and White”, which is broadcast by TVN24. During the eight years of rule of the United Right, its reporters revealed many scandals related to the ruling camp. Telewizja Polska’s response to this magazine was to be the program “Nie cać się”, which was broadcast from 2017 to 2023.

However, in fact, it was a biased propaganda program whose materials were aimed at political opponents of the then ruling camp. One of its presenters was Ewa Bugała, whose materials were named . What does this neologism mean?

It was in this program that she called people protesting against the then government “barbarians”. “You Can’t Hide It” also touched upon topics such as: “scandalous negligence after the Smolensk catastrophe”, where the past of the then opposition politicians was buried, and “defenders of pedophiles and alimony payers are the faces of resistance against the reform of the judiciary”, where attempts were made to shame political opponents of Law and Justice Justice. Therefore, it can be safely admitted that it was not a real investigative program.
