Jacek Sobala is a person who has gained experience in various media titles over the last dozen or so years. In 2006, he was the head of the youth Polish Radio Bis, where he became known as the person who turned the programming upside down. Later, he was the director of radio stations One and Three, but since 2019 he has been associated with TV Republika, where he hosts “real Polish news”, better known as “Dzisiaj”.
“Real Polish news” with two versions of the truth. Sobala called them “descendants of criminals”, but it was their previous government that took care of the memory of the “Cursed Soldiers”
In the last edition of the station’s main program, Sobala uttered shameful words about the “Cursed Soldiers” and the ruling coalition. – March 1 is the National Day of Remembrance of the “Cursed Soldiers”. On this occasion, “Gazeta Polska” clubs organize or co-organize various celebrations throughout the country. We inform you extensively about all this on our radio, because currently the descendants of those with whom our heroes fought are in power. – Sobala boomed.
Moreover, he later stated that apart from the viewers of Sakiewicz’s station, “we cannot count on the participation of a state ruled by those who want to erase the memory of Inka Siedzikówna and the fact that she behaved decently. That she behaved as she should” – the presenter continued .
After the announcement, a short material was shown, the content of which clearly contradicts what Sobala had just said. Viewers learned that the legislative initiative, thanks to which the National Day of Remembrance of the “Cursed Soldiers” was established, was started by the late. President Lech Kaczyński. But it was after his death that the project was maintained by Bronisław Komorowski, and the Sejm passed it on February 3, 2011.
It should be noted that at that time, power was held by the PO-PSL coalition with Donald Tusk at the head of the government. All parties voted for the establishment of the National Remembrance Day of the “Cursed Soldiers”. Only five MPs broke away from the Civic Platform and voted “against”, and one person in the SLD. Moreover, three people from this group abstained from voting. And two more non-affiliated MPs were against the initiative.
