“The renovation was too much for us. Every visit to the store ends in tears. I don’t know how we will manage to get the apartment ready. We put all our savings into our own contribution. We kind of regret that we didn’t buy an apartment on the market.” secondary. Instead of finishing the apartment, we will most likely finish ourselves,” writes Mrs. Ola, who, together with her husband, is the new owner of a new property in Warsaw in a letter to the editor. When the couple started the renovation, the emotions after buying the apartment subsided.

The housing baby boom is underway. Real estate is insanely expensive, but that doesn’t stop you from buying your dream apartment. We are currently observing a record increase in the average price per square meter since the financial crisis in 2008. Further price thresholds were exceeded in Warsaw. On average, you have to pay PLN 16,000 per square meter of an apartment. Over 12 months, developer apartments in the capital have increased in price by 18% on average in the metro. And although the main culprit of the demand for real estate is Safe Credit 2%, which sucks out premises from developers’ offers, the government program allows young people to save a lot of money. Overall, it works out satisfactorily well.

Safe Credit 2%. salvation for young people

“We have been thinking about real estate for a long time. We do not want to live with our parents or rent an apartment to put money into other people’s pockets. As soon as the 2% Safe Loan was introduced, we immediately went to the bank to submit an application. Surprisingly, the process was quite easy, but we waited a really long time for the decision itself. Positive news from the bank appeared only after almost three months after submitting the full documentation. Then the contract was signed, a notary and other flowers, so before we got the keys, about half a year passed. Today we are owners of our first property. We have been waiting for this moment all our lives. We will never forget the moment of receiving the keys. It’s nice to have something of our own. The best thing is that our parents did not help us financially, and we owe everything we managed to achieve to our diligence.

Renovation costs a lot. Young people throw up their hands

Not much has changed in our lives because we haven’t moved into our new apartment yet. For now, we only pay the loan installment every month. Well, maybe we pay the loan installment, because let me tell you, it is some kind of burden. By purchasing an apartment, we made our dream come true. Soon we will have to eat rubble, because it takes a lot of money to finish them off. Everything is terribly expensive. The renovation was too much for us. Every visit to the store ends in tears. I don’t know how we will manage to get the apartment ready. We put all our savings into our own contribution. We regret that we did not buy a flat on the secondary market. Instead of finishing the apartment, we will most likely finish ourselves.”
