Exhibition of Banksy’s works for the first time in Poland
Street art seems to be the antithesis of being confined to galleries, but Banksy’s popularity and anonymity meant that reproductions of his works were once again displayed in exhibitions around the world. Already in March, you will be able to see the exhibition “The Mystery of Banksy – Genius Mind” in Poland for the first time.
The exhibition will include 150 reproductions of the artist’s famous works, which can disappear very quickly from the place where they were created. The set of works was first shown in Munich in 2021, and has since been seen by over 2 million people. In Poland, the exhibition will be available to visit in Wrocław from March 15, and will also go to Poznań.
“The exhibition serves as an extraordinary journey through the entire period of the artist’s work. It presents over 150 inspiring street art motifs – graffiti, photographs, sculptures, video installations and prints on various media, such as canvas, fabric, aluminum, plexiglass,” we read in the event announcement.
The exhibition dedicated to Banksy’s work is not authorized for obvious reasons, which is controversial for some. However, the curator of the event, Virginia Jean, in an interview with “Deutche Welle” explains and emphasizes that the organizers do not treat the project as a “Banksy exhibition, but a tribute to the artist. It is also an opportunity to see the street artist’s works for those who cannot afford to travel.” in his footsteps.

Tickets for the event are now available. A regular ticket costs PLN 65 from Monday to Friday and PLN 10 more on weekends and holidays. Reduced prices – PLN 55 and PLN 65. It is also possible to purchase a family or school ticket.
