The pre-selections for 2024 ended in Poland on February 2. Then, the submission of applications for the competition ended and the committee began the process of evaluating the works. According to Eurowizja.org, for this purpose it invited five experts to help. Each of them rated the proposal on a scale of 1 to 10.

The above-mentioned vote decided who would fight for victory at Eurovision 2024. Those who wanted to sing at the competition in Sweden included Justyna Steczkowska, Krystyna Prońko, Luna, tiktoker Izabela Zabielska and Natasza Urbańska.
Justyna Steczkowska, who represented Poland at Eurovision in 1995, won the plebiscite organized by OGAE Polska (the official branch of the international fan club of the Eurovision Song Contest), conducted before the announcement of the results of the Polish pre-selection. The singer announced her desire to return to the international stage in September. Since then, she has also promoted a song created especially for this occasion – “WITCH-ER Tarohoro”.
However, by the committee’s decision, Poland will be represented this year by Luna and her song “The Tower”. In 2020, the singer’s photo was the first Polish woman to appear in Time Square in New York, as part of the Spotify Equal campaign. The artist has released two albums. Mini-album “Caught In The Night” and debut longplay “Nocne Zmory”. “After a dark and sultry period in her career, Luna finally reaches the edge of light and slowly moves to the bright side of the moon. We feel it both in the new image and in the musical layer,” we read on the singer’s label’s website.
Eurovision 2024. Where and when will it take place?
The 68th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Sweden thanks to the victory of Loreen and the song “Tattoo”. The artists will present their songs at the Malmo Arena, where the event also took place in 2013 – after the mentioned singer’s first win. The semi-finals of the competition will take place on May 7 and 9, with Poland participating in the first round. We will watch the grand finale on May 11. The slogan of this year’s competition is “United By Music”. 37 countries will take part in the competition.
