Ma³gorzata Buczkowska and her husband Ksawery Szlenkier will give an interview in which they discussed the topic of faith. The couple admitted that they “entrusted their marriage to Mary”, although not so long ago the partners had different opinions about spirituality.

Małgorzata Buczkowska is an actress who made her debut alongside Jerzy Radziwiłłowicz and Robert Gonera in the cult crime series “Glina” by Władysław Pasikowski. In recent years, she has become famous for her roles in TVP series. In “Commissioner Alex” she played Renata Brodzka, and in “The Crown of Kings” she played Queen Elizabeth of Bosnia, mother of Jadwiga of Anjou.

Recently, the actress gave an interview to the Catholic magazine “Mały Gość Niedzielny” together with her husband Ksawery Szlenkier, known as Sebastian Biernacki from the series “First Love”. The couple shared some truly intimate parts of their lives.

During her relationship with Szlenkier, Buczkowska converted. Then she noticed that she was at a completely different spiritual stage than her husband, so she started praying for her partner’s conversion. It worked. After many years, Szlenkier believed in God, Mary, and even joined a rosary group.

“We entrusted our marriage to Mary,” the actor declared with conviction. He admitted, however, that at the beginning he approached the issue of his wife’s faith and conversion with some distance. “I didn’t understand Małgosia. I was angry that my wife was growing into devotion,” Fakt quotes Szlenkier’s words.

Buczkowska also talked about her faith earlier with the “Niedziela” magazine. In an interview she admitted that she had always been Catholic, but she neglected the practice and stopped going to church. “I was absorbed in work, I received awards and many interesting career offers. When I got pregnant after the wedding, I had to stay in bed for several months because the pregnancy was at risk. For me, this time was a several-month retreat, a deep conversation with God about who I am. “Why am I here, what is most important to me,” she emphasized.

Her brother-in-law, who died of cancer, also contributed to Buczkowska’s conversion. However, he trusted God until the end of his life and told the actress about his deep faith and encouraged her to pray together.
