Even though we still have February, before we know it, we will tear the page out and it will already be March. This is the right month to sow tomatoes for seedlings. Wait for a time when the nights are shorter and the days are longer. It may take about a month and a half before you can get your tomatoes in the ground. What should you do?

1. Prepare small containers for tomatoes (e.g. egg trays), fill them with soil and press lightly.
2. Place 2 tomato seeds on the top of each container, press them into the ground by about 0.5 cm and cover them with soil.
3. Water and mist moderately and regularly and store the containers at a temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius.
4. After the sprouts appear, lower the temperature in the room or move the tomatoes to a place where it will be about 19 degrees during the day and 14 degrees at night.

Tomatoes that grow in our house should be moved to the ground over time. Thanks to this, they will have more space and will grow beautifully. When should you decide to do so? Many gardeners encourage them to wait until May 15, i.e. until the so-called cold Zośka. This is very important because the date is considered to be borderline when it comes to the risk of cold or even frost, which could harm the plants. Transfer the seedlings to the ground on a cloudy day and place them preferably in warm soil. Such a seedling will take root quickly, and over time it will start to delight with juicy fruits.
