After the first day of the Sejm session, the scandalous scenes that took place in front of the building continue to be discussed. Wąsik and Kamiński’s fights with the marshal’s guard, which did not allow them to enter the Sejm, became not only the main topic of discussion, but also of ridicule. Monika Olejnik also raised the issue of events in front of the building in her program.
Tense atmosphere in “Kropka nad i”. An MP from the Left bit back at a PiS member
The journalist hosted Kazimierz Smoliński from Law and Justice and Tomasz Trela from the Left in the “Kropka nad i” program. The presenter did not mince words and asked directly why PiS politicians insulted the marshal’s guard. “I don’t know if anyone insulted the marshal’s guard, I didn’t hear it,” Smoliński commented, and then explained that both he and his party colleagues only wanted to find out whether the guards were acting on their own initiative or on the orders of the Speaker of the Sejm.
At the same time, the guest of the program took the opportunity to point out the irregularities of the current government. According to Smoliński, this is why PiS put up barriers in front of the Sejm – so that “people at the invitation of opposition MPs” could not enter the building. “I don’t remember that in the many years that we were in power, there was outrage when there were Dantesque scenes in front of the Sejm,” the politician noted in the interview.
It didn’t take long for the second guest present in the studio to react. “Today you tried to bring Mariusz Kamiński and Maciej Wąsik into the Sejm with a battering ram, to prove that the state is not working, and that the Marshal’s Guard and the Speaker of the Sejm were up to the challenge,” Tomasz Trela began, quoted by Onet. “I hope that Messrs. Kamiński and Wąsik will use such a battering ram to come to the meeting of the Pegasus committee,” he added sarcastically.
Olejnik asked the PiS MP about exorcisms performed with brawn. “I haven’t heard about it”
Monika Olejnik also touched on another topic in the program. She asked about the money from the Justice Fund that was invested in a priest who performed exorcisms with brawn. This is about the figure of the priest Michał Olszewski, who talked about exorcisms performed on a woman who did not eat meat. “Gazeta Wyborcza” revealed that the foundation headed by the priest received PLN 43 million in subsidies.
“I haven’t heard of it, I really like brawn,” the politician announced. “Does it discredit that someone did something with brawn? An exorcist cannot get money? He did not get money for exorcisms,” Smoliński noted. What is true, the Olszewski foundation was to use the amount received to build a guesthouse for victims of violence in Warsaw’s Wilanów.
“This brawn is just a little brawn compared to the scandals and scams you did with the Justice Fund,” commented Tomasz Trela.
