A few years ago, Marcin Kwaśny found himself at a crossroads in life. The actor struggled with alcoholism, which, as he later reported, he overcame thanks to the help of his ex-wife and God’s intercession. After these events, the star known from “Colors of Happiness” and “Century Winnych” converted and found faith. “Some people have psychologists, but for me the best therapist is Mr. Jesus,” he said in an interview with “Dobry Tygodnik”.

In the same magazine, Marcin Kwaśny also talked about the difficult situation he found himself in while working on the short film “Confession”. The actor admitted that at some stage of the production he ran out of money. He needed PLN 50,000 then. “Then I turned to the saint for help (St. Maksymilian Kolbe – editor’s note). And believe me, three days later I had money in my account. I managed to get it. This is real proof of his intercession!” – he told “Dobry Tygodnik”.
Faith also helped him survive the decision to break up with Diana Kołakowska. In 2018, the actor’s ex-wife filed for divorce with the court. “Diana stuck with me when I was lost. I am extremely grateful to her for that,” he told “Dobry Tygodnik”. Three years later, Marcin Kwaśny married Klaudia, an opera singer, whom he met during a meeting of the Queen of Peace community. Before the birth of their son, the couple went on a pilgrimage to Gietrzwałd.
“I used to treat religion as a ballast, and now I look at faith as a blessing. Faith gives me a huge boost. Thanks to it, I can say that I am a happy, peaceful person, at peace with God, with the world and with myself,” the actor emphasized in “Echa Katolicki”.
