However, according to the organizers of the Catholic singles ball, there were many more people interested. These events take place on the initiative of the Carmelite Order. The first edition of the singles’ ball took place 8 years ago. Its originator is Maciej Romaniszyn. The Carmelite Father Krzysztof Piskorz helped in the organization at that time. The priest currently serves as the parish priest of the church of St. Saint’s care Joseph. For the next few years, the balls were not held, and only this year the event was organized again.
The event is dedicated exclusively to singles with Catholic values. Participants of this year’s party first took part in the Holy Mass. in the chapel of the Marian sisters, and then went to the auditorium, where they partied until the morning to the rhythm of music played by a DJ.
Catholic singles ball in Wrocław. “We start with prayer, we also end with prayer”
– The main idea is that it’s a singles ball. And it is a ball for people with values, i.e. its participants are believers. Of course, we are not able to verify this, but, for example, today at Holy Mass. I counted about 100 people. I was surprised because I expected about 50. And they all fully participated in the Eucharist – said Maciej Romaniszyn in an interview with niedziela.pl. – We also made the age range of participants open – he added.
Most participants are between 20 and 40 years old, but there are also people over 50 years old. Even if they can’t meet anyone, they will have a nice time. Ladies can wear a ball gown, men a suit. We start with a prayer, we also end with a prayer and we will praise God with dancing
– he described.
Catholic singles ball. “I will organize them”
The organizer told the website that the first and second ball resulted in the appearance of two married couples. Both relationships have already had children. But according to Romaniszyn, there may be more such couples.
– There are probably some that I don’t know about – he noted. – (…) Even though I would organize this ball only so that one couple could get to know each other and it would become a marriage, I will organize it – said the organizer.
According to niedziela.pl, the history of the famous Carmelite balls dates back to events 20 years ago. Initially, this idea was supposed to come up at an adaptation camp for students in Biały Dunajec. Later the event was called the “100 Couple Ball”. Over time, a singles ball also appeared.
