The final stretch of Cádiz Carnival Groups Competition is going from strength to strength, after holding two of the four semi-finals that conclude this Wednesday, February 7 and that will determine the classified in the Grand Final. This will be the third time that the groups will take the stage to defend their place in the last session of the event and try to win the first prize in their category. In total 30 quartets, choirs, chirigotas and troupes will fill music, costumes and sass the Gran Teatro Falla in Cádiz to convince the official COAC jury that they deserve a place in the final and it should be noted that They will carry their score from the quarterfinals into this final qualifying phase.

In this way, the semifinals pass their halfway point with eight groups, which face each other this TuesdayFebruary 6th, to the third session of this phase on the Falla tables. The chirigota ‘The last one and we leave’ by Antonio Álvarez ‘Bizcocho, after generating controversy with a song that they created in a matter of two days and that alluded to the famous Holy Week poster, will be one of the expected performances tonight. They will also try to surprise Ecija’s chirigota again ‘I eat your face’ that against all odds has managed to enter the semifinal after the official jury has evaluated the renewal in the lyrics of pasodobles and cuplés, among other groups that make up the programming of this session.

The semi-finals of the competition are divided into four sessions and after starting on February 4, the phase will be extended until February 7, date on which the jury will announce those classified in the Grand Final and although it is no longer possible to get a ticket to witness the performances live, you will be able to see the entire session ‘online’.
