However, she was not interested in developing this relationship. The man didn’t give up. He was constantly looking for information about her. Moreover, he was becoming more and more involved in a virtual relationship that did not really exist. The woman even began to have the impression that Michał R. was following her.
She refused to go on a date with the stalker. He decided to take revenge
One day, a man invited a woman for Valentine’s Day dinner. However, she did not agree to go out together. This made him decide to take revenge on her. Three years ago, in February, he lurked near a place where Lidia often visited. He had a syringe filled with a corrosive substance. When the woman appeared nearby, he attacked her. He aimed straight at her face.
He expected that he might hurt her
Fortunately, the woman knew how to behave in such a situation. Immediately after the incident, she washed her face with cold water in the restaurant. Thanks to this, she probably saved her eyesight. Unfortunately, she suffered other serious injuries – including chemical burns to the conjunctiva and corneas of both eyes.
On November 4, 2022, the man was sentenced to six years in prison. In addition, he must pay Lidia PLN 50,000 in compensation. During his testimony, he said: – When I poured water on Lidka’s face, I knew what I was doing, I acted with full awareness. I expected that I might hurt her and that she might lose an eye.
You can’t negotiate with a stalker

– I advise you to make it clear at the beginning that we do not want such contact. This should be a very short and to the point message. Importantly, you cannot negotiate with a stalker because he feeds on contact with the victim. So I advise against entering into any discussions – said Dacyszyn.
