American actor Carl Weathers He has died at the age of 76, as reported by his family in a statement issued to various American media.

“We are sad to announce his passing. He died happily in his sleep last Thursday, February 1. Carl was an exceptional human being who lived an extraordinary life. In his contributions to cinema, television, and the arts, he left an indelible mark and is recognized throughout the world,” the family noted in the writing published by Hollywood on the social network X.

The actor rose to fame for his performance in the four films of ‘Rocky’ in the role of Apollo Creed alongside Sylvester Stallone. Likewise, he was the protagonist in films like ‘Predator’ and had the role of him in the television series of the Star Wars universe, ‘The Mandalorian’.

Among other projects, Weathers also provided voice for one of the animated ‘Toy Story’. In addition, he was a member of the United States Olympic Committee since before his time on the big screen he debuted as a professional athlete playing for the Oakland Raiders and a Canadian Football League team.
