Kasia Klich was one of the most promising Polish singers in the early 1900s. Although she tried to start her career in the late 1990s, she only took the charts by storm in 2002, when she released her debut single “Lepszy model”, which heralded her first the artist’s album of the same title.

Unfortunately, the remaining songs from this album did not gain much popularity. However, this did not mean that Klich was not appreciated. The singer was honored with the Fryderyk award for “phonographic debut of the year”, thanks to which it seemed that her career would gain momentum.
However, little has changed since then. Kasia Klich successively released new albums, but they were not noticed by radio stations, which at that time were the main source of promoting new music. The singer has said in many interviews that the policy pursued by the heads of radio stations is discriminatory, and that arrangements are more important than music.
The entire music community is frustrated that our presence or absence in certain media is not decided by society, but by a few decision-makers – she said years ago in an interview with “Gala”.
Over the last 24 years since her debut, the artist has released three more studio albums and many singles, and has also been involved in various projects, such as “Stubbornly Absent”, where, together with other artists, she sang Wisława Szymborska’s poetry in English. However, this did not restore her former notoriety.
One of the most interesting creations that Kasia Klich has released in recent years is a refreshed version of her hit “Na better model”. On the 20th anniversary of the song’s creation, the singer invited one of the most popular rappers in Poland, nicknamed Ryfa Ri, to cooperate with her. The artist added a completely new verse to the refreshed version of the song.

In one of the last interviews for the “TVN” program, she said that she did not feel like she was a “prisoner of one song”. – The “Better Model” has been operating for over 20 years. It is a privilege when an artist manages to create the so-called evergreen. Many musicians will never create a song with such a long life and, what’s more, one whose words will enter everyday language, she said.
She also admitted that she is amused by articles on websites that suggest that she is a one-hit wonder that everyone has forgotten about. In the conversation, she explained that she still deals with the same thing, i.e. music.
I do the same thing I used to do: sing and compose. And I’m waiting for the right moment, because everything has its place and time. Once a year, an article from the “one hit artists” series simply appears. This is deprecating and only shows the level of journalism. Why doesn’t anyone make a list of artists who haven’t had a hit? Could it be because it would be too long? – Kasia Klich asked ironically.
Later in the conversation, she also talked about a loan in Swiss francs, which she took out after bank employees said that if she was a freelancer, she would not get a loan in Polish zlotys. Today he openly says that it was a bad decision and the case will end up in court.
My legal battle is about to begin. We use all our savings and earned money to pay off the loan, which has really grown to enormous proportions – admitted the singer.
