When going to a hairdresser or beautician, we are guided by various criteria. For some, the most important thing is the close location, for others, low prices, and still others pay attention to extensive experience. Often, we are also not indifferent to character traits. And these are different. It turns out that some people are actually afraid!
“I stopped going for nails. Now I feel like I broke up with my boyfriend.”
– I’ve been doing hybrids for the last half a year. I went to the beautician regularly, it was nice, coffee, conversations about books, trips, sometimes some gossip. Finally, we exchanged contact details, “if I wanted a date under the counter,” said our interlocutor Agnieszka. – Each such event costs well over a hundred, and my nails were damaged, so I took off my hybrids myself.
I stopped going for nails to save money. Now this beautician keeps texting me. Every day I receive several messages with funny videos, tips and recommendations. He bombards me with messages. I might add that she didn’t do this when we saw each other once a month. I always respond with a smile, but the situation has become so absurd that I feel as if I had broken up with my boyfriend and he was still pretending that we were together, hoping that he would convince me and I would come back.
Aga can “brag” about having exceptional bad luck with this type of specialists. Her history with the hairdresser will also be remembered by her. – I went to a hairdresser who was very fond of glass. Every visit, he said that he was “fed up with these stupid women” and that he would quit hairdressing and go to “Top Model”. Generally, it was not very comfortable for the client, because I assumed that I was one of those “stupid women” of whom she was fed up and already in the chair I felt like apologizing for sitting there. Finally, I decided that I would not bother him and go to someone else.
Everything’s fine, I posted photos from some trip on Insta. Then my friend writes to me to see what this hairdresser posted on the story. It turned out that I wouldn’t be able to see it – the guy noticed that I had my hair cut somewhere else and blocked me.
Visits to the hairdresser are like “Conversations in progress”. “You’ll find out everything there”
However, not everyone has negative experiences with hairdressers and beauticians. We wouldn’t go so far as to say that we are mostly satisfied during our visits. For a few hours we are disconnected from the world and problems at home. We can relax, often even with a cup of coffee or tea, and focus only on ourselves. Well, unless we add stories about other clients or neighbors to the equation, of course combined with commentary, as in “Conversations in Progress”. But they only add atmosphere to our visits.
In my case, everyone goes to one hairdresser in a neighboring village. I also go to her because she knows my hair well. There you will learn everything. Who is with whom and who is unmarried – but it’s none of our business, right, Mrs. Helenka? Who has had a case in court, who starves a dog, who walks around the countryside with a cat on a leash, and of course “this never happened before”. I love these visits
– Eliza told us.
I respect how they remember everything, with so many clients. When I tell something, it doesn’t go viral and often on the next visit or even a few months later she can mention something I once said. Also nice. And at the same time, I’m a little afraid of letting too much slip
– Karolina laughed.
