The 32nd final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity took place on January 29. The slogan of this year’s collection was “Lungs after the pandemic”. The collected funds will therefore be used to purchase equipment for “diagnosing, monitoring and rehabilitation of lung diseases of patients in pulmonary wards for children and adults.” As much as PLN 175,426,813 was collected for this purpose, which is over PLN 20 million more than last year.

The collection for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity was organized by, among others, “Teleexpress”. The editorial team put up for auction a day with Maciej Orłoś and a day in the “Teleexpress” studio. “Our editorial team also made a contribution. The online auction during which you could bid on “A Day at ‘Teleexpress'” has ended. And a meeting with Maciej Orłoś,” Kostrzewska said on TV. Then the host turned to the auction winner, who donated PLN 10,000 for this purpose.

As many as 1,680 teams and 120,000 volunteers were involved in this year’s campaign. On this occasion, picnics, concerts, internet campaigns and the traditional Light to Heaven are also planned.
