Monika Olejnik made her debut on Polish Radio. She had barely started working at the station when the journalist’s interviews with politicians in the “Political Salon of Trójka” program brought her popularity. She is still known for her powerful conversations and effective questioning of guests.

However, everyone has bad days and even professionals are vulnerable to mishaps. Less often it results from ignorance or lack of preparation, much more often from exhaustion, stress, overstimulation or personal reasons. This was also the case here.
Monika Olejnik invited the Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, Włodzimierz Czarzasty, to her program “Kropka nad i”. However, during the recordings, she confused the politician with Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz – former prime minister. She surprised herself, the guest and the audience with her words.
Monika Olejnik explained her mistake: I’m sorry. What did I say?
At the beginning of the program, the journalist introduced the guest. “Monika Olejnik, ‘Kropka nad i’, welcome to the free media, and my guest is Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Speaker of the Sejm,” the journalist began, but she immediately realized that she had made a mistake. “I’m sorry. What did I say?” she added, confused, and introduced the guest for the second time.
It turned out that the journalist was not feeling well and her distraction could have been due to a headache. “I’m sorry. I have a terrible, terrible headache today. I think you can help me,” Olejnik said to the guest. Czarzasty didn’t seem offended. “Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I have to work a little more to earn a name as good as Cimoszewicz,” the politician greeted the audience.
