‘The Messiah’ and ‘Robot Dreams’ have been the big winners of the eleventh edition of the Feroz Awardsa gala inevitably marked by the accusations of sexual violence of three women against the filmmaker Carlos Vermut, revealed just hours before by the newspaper ‘El País’. Some acts to which several actors and filmmakers have expressed their rejection on the red carpet.

In this context, the Association of Cinematographic Informants of Spain (AICE), which awards these awards, showed its solidarity this Friday with the victims and pointed to job insecurity as one of the causes that lead to sexual violence. “We are always with the victims, we encourage you to report”stated the president of the AICE, María Guerra, who recalled the aggression suffered by actress Jedet at the awards after party last year.

As for this year’s record –which you can consult in full here-, ‘The Messiah‘, by Los Javis, has won the award for Best Drama Series and five more awards, while ‘Robot Dreams‘, by Pablo Berger, also nominated for an Oscar, has won Best Comedy Film and two other awards. ‘The Snow Society‘, by JA Bayona and also nominated for an Oscarhas won two awards, while ‘20,000 species of bees‘has received the Feroz for Best Dramatic Film.

In the feature film category, the Feroz have awarded David Verdaguer as Best Leading Actor already Malena Alterio for Best Leading Actress. For its part, ‘La Dani’ has received the award for Best Supporting Actor and Patricia López has received the Award for Best Supporting Actress. Also in this category, he has been awarded the Best Film Screenplay award to Sebastián Vásquez and Alejandro Rojas for ‘Upon Entry’. Upon receiving recognition from him, Vásquez has asked “the ceasefire in Palestine”.

In the case of series, Roger Casamajor was awarded Best Leading Actor; Lola Dueñas has been recognized as Best Leading Actress and Albert Pla and Irene Balmes as Best Actor and Supporting Actress, respectively, all of them. for his roles in ‘The Messiah’which also won the award for Best Screenplay.

Los Feroz have also awarded ‘Poquita fe’ as Best Comedy Series and the Honor Award went to the actress Monica Randall, who starred in one of the most emotional moments of the night when collecting his award. “Remember me with affection and thank you for your respect,” she said, after wishing those present to reach the moment in life in which she is, because, she pointed out, that will mean that “you have lived a lot.”

On this occasion, those in charge of conducting the gala, held at the Palacio de Vistalegre in Madrid, have been Brays Efe and Coria Castillo. Also present at the awards ceremony were the Minister of Culture, Ernest Urtasunand the second vice president of the Government, Yolanda Diazwhom the president of the AICE has directly questioned to ask him “not to forget the press” in his objective of regulating and reducing the working day.
