I always told them: please pay me as much as you can and think you can,” recalls the actress.
One of the first productions in which Dymna took part was Tadeusz Konwicki’s film “How Far From Here, How Close” from 1971. To star in the production, the actress had to take a leave of absence from her studies. The artist lost a year at university and received PLN 150 for the film. However, this is not the end of the unpleasantness that Dymna experienced during the project.
On the set, the actress had to endure taunts from extras. “Look, she’s a piece of shit, she can’t do anything, she’s so skinny, and if she plays with Łapicki, she’ll buy a house and buy a car,” the famous actress recalled in a sarcastic conversation, knowing how much she would earn from the film.

“The films ‘Nie ma mocch’, ‘Janosik’ and ‘Quack’ are still shown on TV, so the contrast is even greater. I’m walking down the street and someone calls out: ‘Jesus Maria, you’ve become such a mess. You used to be so pretty.’ . I also heard: ‘You fat teddy bear, don’t eat so much’, or ‘What the hell were you doing at night to make you look like that! Yesterday I saw you in a movie, you were pretty, and today what?’ – said the actress in an interview for “Twój Styl”.
