The competition has officially started! Miss Universe Ecuador announced this Friday afternoon, January 26, the names of the candidates who will compete for the title and crown of the most beautiful woman in the country this year.
Twenty-six women were selected this year, after the day castings which took place last week in a hotel in Guayaquil, and via Zoom with pre-selected women who do not live in Ecuador.
The group of official contestants was selected from among 200 women who initially registered as candidates, passed a digital interview (which was the first filter) and introduced themselves casting in which the election commission evaluated them.

According to the organization, those who were not accepted into this edition received an email notifying them that they did not participate. “We are guided by international competition rules. All are welcome to participate in this new era. “They represent the multicultural, multi-ethnic diversity of the country, and they also represent the new standards of Miss Universe,” he points out.
