This year we will celebrate the 30th anniversary of “Familiada”, hosted by Karol Strasburger from the very beginning. The popular presenter is therefore already a TVP veteran who has seen more than one “changing of the guard”. In an interview with Superexpress, he admitted that “Over the years, the TVP authorities have changed, and we have been and still want to be apolitical.”
Strasburger is not afraid for his job. “I always played clean”
In the same interview, Strasburger emphasized that regardless of the political option that wants to influence the shape of public television, you should stick to your own opinion. “People, regardless of who is in charge of their workplace, must remain professional, do their job to the best of their ability and, above all, establish boundaries where private political sympathies and professional ethics are not allowed to get in the way. I can compare it to an orchestra “(…) none of the musicians who have different views has the right to falsify. He has to play well, as before, using his talent and experience! I am in a situation where I have always played cleanly,” he admitted.

Before he made his debut as the host of “Familiada”, Karol Strasburger was involved in acting. He made his debut in 1970 and since then he has played many iconic roles, including: in such films as “Nights and Days” (1975) or “Wielki Szu” (1982). We could also watch him in numerous series, such as “Polish Roads” (1972), the “Ekstradycja” trilogy or the popular TVP production “Klan”. He also shared his opinion on the return of the former “faces” of Polish Television.
Kudos to them for coming back, because they expressed that they do not want to participate in something that has no objective value.

And what about “Familiada” itself? Strasburger has good news for fans of the game show. He admitted that public television expressed willingness to continue broadcasting, and his contract would be valid for 90 further episodes. We wish the host of the program unwavering verve and more “dry” jokes in his repertoire.
