From Korea straight to Poland. “Puppy eyes” gives a lifting effect. A hit for people with droopy eyelids

For many years, the “cat eye” has been at the top of the most popular eyeliner technique. The influence of beauty trends from Korea means that “puppy eyes” are currently the most popular.

K-Beauty trends, i.e. beauty news straight from Korea, are gaining more and more supporters at a rapid pace and have certainly had a huge impact on skin care in the last few years. Recently, in the world of makeup, cat eyes have been giving way to the eye painting technique, i.e. “puppy eyes”.

“Puppy Eyes”. Will the new makeup trend dethrone the classic cat eyes?

Puppy eyes are K-Beauty’s alternative to the traditional, sensual cat eye. The technique involves a thick, short line, directed slightly downwards in the outer corner.

It aims to make eyes looked bigger and rounder, following the natural curve of the eyes. Additionally, you can also gently highlight the lower eyelid. This method of painting eyes with eyeliner is perfect for women who have deep-set eyes or whose upturned cat-like line disappears into the crease of the eyelid.

The most important thing to remember when applying eyeliner using the “puppy eyes” technique is that the look should match the natural shape of your eyes.

  1. Using eyeliner, draw the upper lash line from the center of the eye to the outer corners of the eye, moving the line down at the corners. When doing this, raise your eyebrows so that the eyelid is nicely taut and has a smooth line.
  2. Follow the line down and create a sharp looking point. Thicken the line, filling in any gaps in color.
  3. Line the outer half of the lower lash line from the middle, pulling to connect with the upper lash line.
  4. Add some light eye shadow on the inner lower lash line to create an open eye effect.
