It all happened on August 14, 2016, when the vehicle in which the band from Jaén was traveling collided head-on with another when they were returning to Baeza after a concert at the Medusa Sunbeach Festival in Cullera (Valencia).
A fact that shocked the world of music and that It changed their lives forever. Since that moment, nothing has been the same again, and the band has never been on stage together again.
He singer and guitarist of the group, José Marín, better known as Chino, was one of the most affected. The artist suffered a head injury and an abdominal contusion as a result of the blow that kept him in the ICU for a few weeks. After leaving the Jaén hospital, he continued his recovery in a specialized clinic in Madrid.
Since then, the artist has not been on stage again. In fact, for a long time little or nothing has been known about his life, except for the occasional appearance on social networks. A little over a year ago he shared a message on his Instagram account to announce his return to ‘normal’, confessing that he still had months of treatment left.
Juanca was the last to leave the ICU. The drummer, who suffered severe blows to the head and abdomen, was released from the hospital two months after the accident. A year after what happened, he announced the creation of his own recording studio, Haleluya Music Studio, and made his way as a DJ.
Some time later, in 2018, he decided to take an important step in his career, creating the band ‘Melifluo’ with his brother.
Jaime Gandía, guitarist of the banYes, it took him weeks to leave the hospital after the accident and he had to return numerous times to undergo surgery. A while ago he surprised everyone by announcing his incorporation into the band ‘Melifluo’.
Finally, Pope, the group’s bassistwho left the hospital after 16 days, had to continue his recovery outside for months.
Two years after what happened, he began to play with some groups, although he focused mainly on other artistic facets such as photography or design. In fact, he has ended up becoming Melifluo’s photographer.
Tributes to the band
