Axel divorces: ‘After 16 years… we decided to start a new stage separately’

Argentinian singer Axel He has been very reticent about sharing details about his family through his social media, where photos of his presentations, tours and media appearances abound. But this Tuesday, January 23, the 47-year-old artist broke the habit and for the first time, at least in recent years, shared two photos next to his wife Delfina Lauría, together with their four children: Águeda, Aurelia, Fermín and Gregorio.

The reason was the publication of sad news. Axel has just reported that after 16 years of marriage, he and his partner have decided to divorce.

The singer-songwriter shared this post with an honest text in which he described his current situation: “Today, January 23, 2024, with a knot in my stomach, because I always imagined that I would grow old with the person I chose to start a family with, I want to tell you that after 16 years of sharing life’s journey with a wonderful person and woman like Delfi, after having a healthy, beautiful and respectful relationship; and the most beautiful fruit of that relationship are Águeda, Aurelia, Fermin and Gregorio; We decided to start a new stage separately” (sic).

According to Axel, the decision was made several months ago, as a result of several individual and couples therapies, but he was only able to say it recently. “Our hearts will be united all our lives for our beautiful children, who will always be our priority; and we will always strive to have a relationship full of love, respect and peace” (sic).

Delfina Lauría is the sister of Axel’s representative. The couple had four children, who were born in 2010, 2013, 2015 and 2020. Last year, the singer was in Ecuador to be part of reality show singing My name isfrom Teleamazonas. (AND)
