“Swobodnie” is an important album in Ania Karwan’s achievements. It is a reflection of the transformation and its development during the pandemic. After years spent on stage, Ania allowed herself to take risks, reject fear and speak in her own voice, both textually and compositionally. Compositions created together with Piotr Bogutyn and sincere poetic lyrics are a new version of the artist.
Ania Karwan about the album: “I have matured to live in peace and I only go crazy in my creativity. It was on this album that I allowed myself to get out of comfort and free myself from specific genres. I am strongly associated with analog sound, and at the same time I admire modern productions. On this album expresses my old soul, and at the same time a wild woman who is not afraid of being imperfect. I am proud that I found the courage. After a difficult time of the pandemic, loneliness and fear, I wrote lyrics and music that I would never have experienced if it were not for these two years when the world stopped. This album is a record of my gratitude for that time.
Ania Karwan has been collaborating with leading Polish artists, as well as with world film music composers, for years as part of the Film Music Festival. Winner of the Premieres competition of the 56th Polish Song Festival in Opole. She became known to a wider audience during the 7th edition of “The Voice of Poland”, in which she reached the finals. She took a high place in the prestigious international TOP TEN GLOBAL VOICE ranking.
