A well-known YouTuber received an advertising proposal from the partisan TVP. The amount is staggering

Miko³aj Myśli, known as Konopskyy, is one of the most popular Polish YouTubers, which allows him to earn money from advertising with the largest companies. Now he revealed that some time ago he also received a proposal from TVP to advertise the youth website “SwipeTo”. How did he react to the huge amount?

Polish Television “liked” to spend money left and right – we have learned about it in recent days, when the earnings of leading propagandists of the so-called good change. No expense was spared on projects related to the station. One of them was the online service “SwipeTo”, targeted at teenagers. As history has shown, it turned out to be a big flop, because the youth turned out to be smarter than the party expected.

Many YouTubers received the offer to advertise the website, including Konopskyy. The author of one of the most popular channels on Polish YouTube (1.9 million subscribers and almost 300 million views of his videos) revealed in Arkadiusz Wołek’s Fomo Podcast podcast that he also received such a message from the management of TVP, just after the launch of the youth website.

“Up to PLN 400,000 for 4 inserts.” Our government had the right line

“Last year, they offered me an advertisement for this. (…) Their website to promote. (…) And then, I remember, they offered a lot of money. For one insert on YouTube with an advertisement for this, let’s say, government news website – youth, there were amounts of around PLN 80,000 or up to PLN 100,000 from state money. Then they offered me a package of, I think, four inserts, and the amounts were probably from PLN 350,000 to PLN 400,000 for four inserts. This is sick money. I had never seen such rates on my channel at that time,” Konopskyy said.

“I can’t be bought.” Makes money from other content

The YouTuber admitted that at that time of his activity, such amounts were almost abstract to him, and yet he did not even consider rejecting the proposal. As soon as he saw that it was a company related to public television, he did not want to cooperate, even for the highest money. “I am not for sale. I am satisfied with the revenue I generate,” he said. And it must be admitted that he does not have to complain about his earnings. As he himself revealed in December last year, he received a total remuneration of PLN 1,620,902 for over 315 million views. He earned 80 percent of that amount in the last two years alone.

He gained the greatest fame thanks to the disclosure of the so-called the “Pandora Gate” scandal, describing cases of inappropriate behavior of popular Polish YouTubers towards underage girls. He created the materials together with another artist, Sylwester Wardęga. Their videos gained enormous popularity and went far beyond the Internet “bubble”.
